You may be feeling a sort of numbness at the scale of this new disaster. Is there such a thing as disaster fatigue? Probably, but at least we all have houses and running water and cell phones that work. So we need to reach out and help again--and we are not just talking about animals--people in Puerto Rico need our help too! The national organizations, the ASPCA and HSUS in particular, have well-honed disaster relief operations on the ground in Puerto Rico. The Red Cross is there on behalf of the people. Don't send any of them "stuff." They need money. If you are fluent in Spanish, do a google search for the local organizations in Puerto Rico. Even if you don't fully understand the Spanish, you can find the donate button. Do something. It's the best way to fight that fatigue.
