Their artistically innovative designs and superior craftsmanship have propelled them from a local supplier of body jewelry(run out of owner, Terry LeRoi’s basement) to an internationally recognized company, employing 45 workers and supplying high end body jewelry to retailers all over the world . When Terry started 24 years ago, the body jewelry niche was relatively new and he found himself on the cusp of an industry that was about to explode into the mainstream. Terry took advantage of that burgeoning niche, combined it with his gift for design and parlayed it into a thriving worldwide business. The Oswego area is where Terry started LeRoi Fine Jewelry and he has been able to grow his business immensely while still keeping his roots in the place he calls home.
LeRoi Fine Jewelry has recently relocated, back home to the city of Oswego. With the support of Mayor Barlow, the City of Oswego Community, Pathfinder Bank, Century 21 Galloway Realty and Operation Oswego County, Terry has been able to bring his business back to the city. With this expansion, Terry plans to grow his enterprise and hopes to add up to 15 or more employees by the end of 2019. Leroi Inc. provides a variety of employment opportunities from customer service and administrative positions to highly skilled artisans. This new space will allow LeRoi Fine Jewelry to streamline their business and better serve their customers, as well as bring new jobs and opportunities that will help Oswego develop even further.
One of these new opportunities to enrich the Oswego community will be a full service wellness center that is being opened by Terry, along with his fiance’, Tammy Wilkinson, who also happens to be the artistic director of Theater Du Jour in Oswego. Aqua Spa Float Center, LLC will be a 6500 square foot float spa and wellness boutique, located at 120 East 1st Street in Oswego. The spa, slated to open in late summer or early fall of this year, will be a destination for wellness-minded people and include an oxygen bar and infrared sauna, as well as offering a variety of services, such as Float Therapy, Cryotherapy and Halotherapy. With this new spa and the relocation of LeRoi Fine Jewelry, both sides of the river will soon be able to lay claim to the enrichment and opportunity provided by staples of the community, Terry LeRoi and Tammy Wilkinson. The next time you see someone wearing a piece of body art, be it locally or in a distant land far from the small city of Oswego, look close; there’s a good chance that it came from LeRoi Fine Jewelry.
